Devotions:

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." (‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭18-19‬ KJV)

Jesus came to preach of recovering of sight to the blind.  This has a two fold meaning.  First He healed the blind throughout His ministry.  In John 9 you have the story of a man born blind from his birth.  Jesus healed him.  In Mark 10 Bartimeaus called out to Jesus as the crowd passed by.  After being told to be quiet, he shouted louder and Jesus stopped and called Bartimeaus to Him and healed Him.  Jesus mentioned the healing of the blind, along with other healing as a hallmark of His ministry testifing to His Messiahship.

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."

(‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭4-6‬ KJV)

But Jesus came to also heal those who were spiritually blind because of tradition and ignorance.  He opened their spiritual eyesight to see and understand from God's perspective.

"Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures," (‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭45‬ KJV)

Jesus is the same today as He was when He walked the earth.  He healed physically in the Gospels and He heals today physically.  He has also opened our eyes to understand the scriptures and see things the way God sees them.

He also came to set at liberty them that are bruised.  We are bruised and hurt many times through no fault of our own.  Satan uses people to hurt and try to destroy us, but in Jesus we have been set free by His love for us.

We are in the acceptable year of the Lord, the year of God's favor.  This year has lasted almost 2000 years.  Accept God's favor now in Jesus.
