Fruit Bearing

Devotions:

We were all called into the kingdom for such a time as this.  We all have a part to play even as Esther did.  None of us are insignificant or of no value.  No matter how far we have fallen, the grace of God is there to pick us up and put us in the place God has for us.

The enemy tries to make us feel small, insignificant and useless.  He tries to degrade us and shame us through his temptations.  But he is ineffective if we will keep our eyes upon Jesus. Jesus has aready defeated him and given us the victory.

All of creation testifies to the fact that we are to be fruitful.  Evolutionist thing that is the only reason we exist, to pass on our genes.  God created us to be fruitful not only to pass on our physical characteristics but more importantly to pass on our spiritual life to those who are still in darkness.  We are to become a disciple and make disciples of the Kingdom of God.

"So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering the earth." Hosea‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭NASB‬‬

All of our fruitfulness comes from our intimacy with God.  Jesus is the vine and we are the branches.  We can do nothing of ourselves but as we fellowship with Him, fruit bearing becomes natural.  Too often we struggle trying to bear fruit on our own strength and just become frustrated.  But as we spend time with Jesus and the Father then His life in us shines out as a witness to those around us.  We are called to spend time with Him daily, in prayer and in His word not as religious duty but to connect with Him in fellowship and adoration.
