Victory

Devotions:

        God's desire and provision is that we walk in victory in every situation in our lives.  Too often we try to do this through our own strength and ability or we go to our friends or maybe a professional to get help.  Permanent help comes through the word of God and by the Spirit of God.  The word of God reveals to us what is ours through Christ Jesus, such as Colossians 1:13, We have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love.  When we choose to meditate on this we allow the Holy Spirit the opening to speak this to our soul and it becomes real to us.  Then we step out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of the Son of God's love and favor.  It our faith in what God has done that gives us the victory already won for us in Christ Jesus.  

        How then should we live?  We are to live by the Spirit of God.  He is in us and He will guide and empower us over all of the pit falls and traps of the enemy if we will listen to Him.  

        “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” ‭Romans‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        We are to live by the power of His resurrection life in us.  This the power that overcame all temptations, all sin, all sickness and diseaes, overcame all of the curse that Adam opened the door to through His disobedience.  Focus your thoughs on this truth. Speak it all the time. Meditate on it until it becomes so real to you.  Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal this truth to you. God's desire is for your victory in every area of life even when you are going through persecution and affliction.  You are still on the enemies territory.  But God prepares a banqueting table in the presence of our enemies.
