“...... The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”  ‭James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Revival does not come from good preaching or teaching but from prayer.  Many people hear preaching and teaching all the time and yet are not changed.  As James says that as we pray in earnest there is tremendous power made available. It takes this power to bring people under conviction and to bring a change in their lives.  You can talk to atheist or Hindus or Muslims about Jesus and all you will get is an argument.  But as you pray and earnestly, God's power in made available to do the work.

Whatever our need is as we pray in earnest, heartfelt much power becomes available and dynamic in its working on our behalf to bring a solution to our need.  Our earnest prayers must be in faith that God hears and is moving on our behalf.

Revival or a move of God is when there is great power in manifestation to bring about salvations, healings, deliverance, restorations, miracles. We long to see this happen but we must give ourselves to prayer.  In prayer we are not trying to twist God's arm to make Him do something He does not want to do.   We are spending time in His presence and becoming more sensitive to Him to know what He wants to do.  God's desire is for the salvation of mankind and our restoration to His perfection.  In prayer we learn to cooperate with Him.  When He finds someone He can trust that He can trust with His power.  God has called us and saved us to be His sons, to operate in His power to bring His goodness to pass in the lives of men and women.

The best way to pray is to pray in tongues, using the gift of God for what He gave it to us for, to pray beyond our limited understanding.  To pray is to find out what the will of the Father is and then to do what He shows us.  This is what Jesus did.  Jesus only did what He saw His Father doing.
