The Seal Is Broken

        “Now on the next day, the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate, and said, "Sir, we remember that when He was still alive that deceiver said, 'After three days I am to rise again.' Therefore, give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day, otherwise His disciples may come and steal Him away and say to the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first." Pilate said to them, "You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how." And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.”  ‭Matthew‬ ‭27:62-66‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        This is the burial of Jesus.  When they buried Him they feared that the disciples would come and steal His body and say that He had been resurrected. They could not comprehend a true resurrection.  So the soldiers secured the grave and put a seal on the stone.  This was Satan saying that you have been sealed in your sins and unrighteousness. Satan continues today to try to seal us in our past sins and experiences.  He tries to convince us that there is no hope for us because we have failed God so many times and even willfully failed Him at times.  Satan wants us to think that our fate is sealed and that there is no hope. 

        But Jesus was resurrected from death and the grave.  The stone was rolled away and satan's seal was broken in your life.  In reading chapter 28 of Matthew we find that before the women could arrive at Jesus' grave, a great earthquake occurred and the stone sealing Jesus' tomb was rolled away by angels.  Our freedom is not in our own efforts to repent, clean up our act and be pleasing to God.  Neither the women nor any of the disciples rolled away the stone over Jesus' grave but God did.  Jesus did not need the stone rolled away to come out of the tomb, later he walked through walls.  We needed the stone rolled away to know that Jesus had truly risen from the dead and by His resurrection, the seal of Satan over our lives is broken permanently. 

        Satan's seal of sickness and disease over you is broken by the resurrection of Jesus!

        Satan's seal of rejection over you is broken by the resurrection of Jesus!

        Satan's seal of sin over you is broken by the resurrection of Jesus!

        Satan's seal of fear over you is broken by the resurrection of Jesus!

        Satan's seal of the curse over you is broken by the resurrection of Jesus!

        All of Satan's seals that he has to steal, kill and destroy you are broken by the resurrection of Jesus! Start proclaiming this now over your life until you see that it is true.
