Anointing
January 30, 2016
Devotions:
We were created in Christ Jesus unto good works. But these good works are not by our own strength or efforts but by the power of God upon us. When we pray we need the to pray under the anointing and not just out of our head.
“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11 KJV
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49 KJV
“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalms 22:3 KJV
After the new birth we are to be anointed by the Holy Spirit but we need to stir up that anointing daily and especially when we need to see God move. As we praise God with our understanding for His goodness and mercy and with other tongues until the Holy Spirit falls upon us and then follow what the Holy Spirit says to do we will see results in our personal lives and our other prayer concerns. Walking in His presence brings results. When we acknowledge who He is openly through our praise and worship, He inhabits our praises. The more we cultivate this habit of praise and worship the more we will recognize and yield to His anointings. This anointings is the presence of His Holy Spirit. All that Jesus did was by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, Acts 10:38. This is the model that we are to operate by to do the works that Jesus did and greater works.
