Jubilee

Devotions:
In Levitcus 25 we are told of the Law o Jubilee. This law was that every 49 years the land and possessions would return to their original owners. So if you bought land you would pay only the price adjusted to the year of Jubilee because in that year the land would return to the original owner. The year of Jubilee is a picture of Jesus. He is our Jubilee. In Luke 4:18,19 Jesus declares that the year of Jubilee has been fulfilled in Him. In Him the original stewardship of the earth that was given to Satan by Adam had been restored to man. This means that we are to walk in health, and prosperity, free from the dominion of the enemy. We have been set free by Jesus to enjoy all that our Father has for us. We are no longer in bondage to the oppression of the devil.
The year of Jubilee started with the blowing of the shophar. This is a picture of the preaching of the Gospel, that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day totally victorious on our behalf.
Many believers are not walking in the freedom that Christ procured for them because they do not know that they have been set free. Most of the church does not know that they can minister that freedom to the sick, oppressed, crippled, blind, deaf and lame. They do not know that liberty has been obtained through Jesus and we are to proclaim the liberty in its fullness. This is what Jesus proclaimed and demonstrated in His ministry for three and a half years. These are the works that we are to do with confidence that without question, Jubliee is ours. Proclaim it loudly, liberty is ours from all of the oppression of the devil. Are you convinced in your own heart, in your own life?
