Christ In You
Devotions:
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.” Galatians 6:15 KJV
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:14-15 KJV
The first basic of Christianity is the new creation or eternal life. We do not live by the law any more, it was given only to show us that we needed a savior because we could not meet it's demand. Jesus came and met the demands of the law perfectly and then took our unrighteous upon Himself to give us His righteousness. That righteousness is the new creation. Our focus then is on who we are and what we do will proceed out of who we are. What we do cannot change who we are but Jesus has changed us in the new creation and what we do then is also changed. The more that we understand and believe in who God has made us the more we act like God. The more we focus on what not the do the more we will do that. Our confession is that we are a new creation, the righteousness of God in Christ. According to our faith is how we will walk. So if we are not walking in righteousness we need to meditate on the scriptures about our righteousness and allow our faith to increase.
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
Colossians 1:27 KJV
