God's Reality

Devotions:
The reality of God can seem uncertain to us at times especially if we are going through a very hard time. If we have not developed an intimate walk with out Heavenly Father then we are acting like He is not real and when problems and tough times hit we are left with big doubts about God and His love for us. As we build a life of walking with God, spending time praising Him throughout the day for His great love for us as demonstrated in our salvation, He becomes alive to us. We know His presence and His comfort. Satan tries his best to pry us away from our Father and our knowledge of His love for us.
“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 3:16-17 KJV
The Father identified Jesus as His beloved Son in whom He was well pleased. Right after this Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness with the words, "If you are the Son of God..." Satan confidently left out the phrase, "beloved Son of God." Because Satan knew that if he acknowledged the Father's love for Jesus then the temptation would have even less of a chance to succeed.
We are in Jesus and He is in us. When the Father called Jesus His beloved Son, He was saying that about you and me not based on our merit but on Jesus' merit. Choose to see yourself and call yourself the beloved son of God or as John refered to himself as the disciple that Jesus loved. You may not feel like it at first but the more you do this and praise God for it the more real it will become to you.
