God's Hand

Devotions:

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Is the Lord's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.” ‭Numbers‬ ‭11:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here the children of Israel had demanded meat through whining and griping and God in His mercy said that He would supply. Moses was in unbelief because he saw that in the natural there was no way to feed these people meat for a month.  But these were God's covenant people, so

inspite of them God in His mercy supplied.

We have a better covenant based on better promises.  The Isrealites had seen the miracles of God in Egypt and yet refused to believe in God's love for them. This attitude later caused them to doubt God's willingness and ability to deliver on His promise and take them into the promise land.

Our lack of faith will also keep us from walking in the promises of God.  The Lord rebuked Moses here. We must be convinced that God's ability is present to do what He has promised and that He will keep His word to us.  God is faithful to watch over His word to perform it.  That is why the word of God and the promises of God are the basis of our prayers and then we can be assured of answers.
