You Choose

Devotions:

It is not just about you. When Israel walked in the ways of the heathen people around them then they were sorely oppressed.  When the church in Eastern Europe in the 16th century looked like the would in their ungodliness then the god of this world was able to dominate them and there was a 30 year war in Europe.  When the church in Europe took on a theology that denied the existence of God then Satan was able to stir Europe into two wars that would eventually involve a lot of the world and millions of people perished.  When we look like the world, when we act like the world then the god of this world can dominate us.  We are not taking our authority in the spirit realm, having been seated with Christ over all principalities, and powers and rule and authority and been given the name above every name, Jesus at which every knee shall bow.  This is our inheritance and our responsibility and when we do not discharge our responsibility then the enemy has free reign.  When we live like the world then we are walking in the flesh and not in the spirit.  Our victory in Christ is in the spirit.

When we choose to live in light of who we are, righteous and holy in Christ then we are aware of the movements of the evil one and we can use our authority to command that he cease and desist in his work against the kingdom of God.  The spirit of the anti-Christ wants to take over and reign but we have the authority to keep him from doing that.  It is up to the church, that is you and me. What God has to offer is so much greater, and better than what the world and Satan has to offer. Choose God.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” ‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
