Sowing and Reaping

Devotions:

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God wants us to give first so that it will finance His work on the earth and secondly that He may prosper us and meet all of our needs.

We must be convinced of the reliability of the law of sowing and reaping in regards to our finances and know how it works in our lives.  This is God's way to prosper us. We can beg for a financial miracle in the time of need but if we have not sown seed we cannot really expect a harvest,. Thank God for His mercy. But if first we have meditated on these scriptures and

Luke 6: 38 until they are real to us and the acted upon them we can stand in the face of financial lack with assurance that we have a harvest coming.

Our sowing has to first be to further the kingdom of God and then to see our needs met. Notice the outcome of sowing is that we would have an abundant supply and have more to give to the he work of the kingdom. Our needs are to be met not by our working but by our sowing. We work to have something to sow. It will not work if we do not have the faith to sow and to reap. No farmer sows his field and then at harvest time just expects it to miraculously show up in his barn. No! He goes to the field and reaps the harvest. Even so must we reap our harvest when it is ready to reap. One way we reap is by calling in the money we need, continuously giving thanks to God that His works on our behalf and then being obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
