Salvation

Devotions:

God's greatest victory came at the cross of Jesus and it was a victory for us.  We are in the process of working out that victory in our day to day lives.  This is called salvation.  The biggest plus for us is that God did not leave us alone to work out our salvation by ourselves but He now dwells within us. The whole issue of salvation then is yielding to the Lordship of Jesus by verbally declaring His Lordship over our lives in the areas that He reveals to us.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When Jesus enters an area of our lives He floods it with His love and assurance and brings healing where there is brokenness, He brings liberty where there is captivity and a blessing where once there was a curse.  Moses told the Israelites that there was a curse to breaking God's law.  Jesus redeemed us from that curse. He set us free to walk in the blessing of Abraham.
