Soul Saved

Devotions:

When Adam and Eve were created they were created perfect, spirit, soul and body. Only when the enemy of their soul enticed them to sin did they lose their perfection resulting in their physical death nine hundred years later. God's plan of salvation is to restore us to that perfection spirit, soul and body. Sin and the originator of sin are still our enemy, but God in His redemptive plan has provided us with a spirit of holiness and righteousness in the new birth and a restoration of our soul. Our sins come out of our brokenness but Jesus' anointing was to bind up the broken-hearted. Psalm 23 says that the Good Shepherd would restore our soul.

The Bible has much to say about forgiveness, Matthew 18 for example. When we do not forgive, it leaves the door open for the enemy to harass you and eventually destroy you. Forgiveness is not based on people asking you to forgive them when they hurt you but on you choosing to forgive whether they ask or not. God brought salvation to us by choosing to forgive the sins of offense against Him. Anyone who has ever hurt you or done you wrong you need to forgive, through the power of the greater one who lives in you.  Then resist the devil who has been taking cruel advantage of the brokenness that was caused by the offense to you. Do not allow the enemy any access to your soul. Invite Jesus to be Lord over that area of your soul.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭
