The Kingdom Within

Devotions:

“And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.”  ‭Luke‬ ‭22:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

At the last supper Jesus spoke to the true meaning the Passover. The Israelites had miraculously delivered from their oppressor and great judgement had been dealt to the enemy by the hand of the Lord. Jesus made the transistion from the Passover to the New Covenant.  At the resurrection of Jesus came the kingdom of God again into the earth.  This kingdom now dwells in the hearts of men and women who have received Jesus as Savior and Lord.

This is the two factors necessary for salvation, Jesus'  as our Savior from which He rescued us from the enemy, the kingdom of darkness by dying for all of our sins. He paid the full price for our sins and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

The second fact is declaring His Lordship over our lives.  By receiving His Lordship we are casting off the lordship of Satan. We have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love.  So Jesus gave us a choice of walking in His kingdom or walking in the kingdom of darkness.
