Life Source

Devotions:
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.” John 4:34-36 KJV
Jesus is our example to show us how to live as sons of God and live in the power of sons. Jesus whole focus and purpose for being on the earth was to do the will of the Father. In fact He was so committed to God's will that He said that doing the will of the Father was where He drew His life force from being obedient. We often look to good healthy food, exercise and other natural things to maintain our health and to draw our life. But Jesus looked to doing the will of God. We must realize that we also can draw our life force from the Father, in fact that is the only true source of life.
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 KJV
God created mankind to be fully dependent upon Him. Adam and Eve were to totally draw their life force from God. When they turned from God and broke the relationship, they died spiritually and nine hundred years they died physically because they could not be spiritually renewed. Their spiritual renewal depended totally on their obedience, just like Jesus walking as a man, was totally dependent on the Father for spiritual renewal and strength. This is also for use, We are to draw our life force from the Father daily, as the manna fell daily and had to be gathered daily.
What is the will of the Father? The harvest of souls. That people be told of God's love for them and the sacrifice that He has made for them to be recsociled to Him and His goodness.
