Schemes of the Devil

Devotions:
“He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” Proverbs 29:1 KJV
“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”
John 12:40 KJV
When we walk in disobedience, it impedes our ability to hear from God. Each act of disobedience hardens our hearts. As we turn away from the leading of the Lord we open the door for the enemy to blind us further and harden our hearts. The enemies strategy is to separate us from God and destroy us.
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV
God is life and blessing. Every other alternative is death and curse. It is God's desire that we turn to Him and be changed and healed. The Holy Spirit is constantly reaching out to people and wooing them to Himself. But we have a choice to respond to His drawing or to go the way of the enemy just like Adam and Eve had a choice and chose wrong.
That is why the prayers of the believer are so necessary. We are the ones with the authority on the earth and as we exercise that authority on this earth crying out for mercy for the sinners that God would continue to reach out to them with salvation. In our prayers we are calling out that the lies of the devil would be made null and void so the people would see the truth of God and His goodness and walk into the light of God.
Jesus said, "in My Name you will cast out Devils." Mark 16.
Choose to walk in obedience! Choose to pray for the lost!
