Spirit Led
Feburary 10, 2016
Devotions:
Learning to walk in the Spirit is where our victory is. When we go about our day to day activities in our lives we are to practice the presence of the Lord. We walk throughout our day in conversation with Him and look to Him to help us do what we need to do. This conversation is called prayer. We are also to spend time feeding on His word to strengthen our relationship with Him. It tells us of His love and care for us. We must embrace His total forgiveness when we sin. He is the wisdom of the universe and He has made that wisdom available to us if we will just ask for that wisdom in what we need. In our walking in the Spirit we are walking in the redemption that Jesus paid for us. To be led by the Spirit is to be actively seeking His input into our lives. He will lead us to victory in every area of our lives. God wants us to actively seek His input in every area of our lives.
“For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.”
Romans 8:14-17 NASB
The Holy Spirit reveals to us the intimacy that the Father has for us. The Holy Spirit reveals to us our inheritance with our elder brother Jesus. It is the Holy Spirit that removes the limitations in our life and expands our horizons.
