Devotions:
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:10-12 NASB
Jesus did signs, wonders and miracles not because He was God. He operated as a man in righteous relationship with the Father God. He did the works because the Father was in Him and He was in the Father.
The disciples did the works of Jesus, Matthew 10, Luke 9, Luke 10, because Jesus was there with them. They healed the sick, cleansed the leper, cast out demons, and raised the dead because Jesus authorized them to and He was there with them.
Jesus did not just use preaching to reach the Jews who had the culture of God, but He demonstrated God's goodness, He demonstrated the Kingdom of God through signs, wonders and miracles.
Here in John 14 Jesus said that those who believe in Him would do His works and greater works becasue He went to the Father. He made the door open so we would be righteous before the Father as He is.
“that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:21 NASB
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians

“to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 NASB
We are in Jesus and the Father and Jesus and the Father are in us. Jesus only acted in obedience to the Father. As we hear the Holy Spirit and do what He tells us to do then we will get the same results as Jesus did. Know that He is in you.
