Devotions:

“The wicked man desires the booty of evil men, But the root of the righteous yields fruit. An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, But the righteous will escape from trouble. A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, And the deeds of a man's hands will return to him.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:12-14‬ ‭NASB‬‬

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:4-5‬ ‭NASB‬‬

“The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

"Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:7, 10-11‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God is with us because He has made us His righteousness and He delights in us.  The river whose streams make glad the city of God is the river of righteousness.  We are the holy dwelling place of the Most High God by His design and His work. The more we are aware of our righteousness in Him the more we cannot be moved by sin and the things of the world.  He is our stronghold by His work in us.  He is not only with us but He is in us by the new birth.  As we walk in this truth that He has made us His righteousness, He is exalted in the nations, He is exalted in the earth.  As we focus on what He has done in us and for us we will bear fruit by His righteous presence in us.  We will do the works of Jesus because Jesus just did what He saw His Father doing. Jesus walked as a man, though He was fully God, a man anointed by the Holy Spirit.  As sons of God we are just men and women but anointed also by the same Holy Spirit.

Faith in our righteousness that God has done is released through our words.  Our words that express what we believe in our hearts create a firm road for us to walk on.  By who we are, righteousness of God not our own works, and our expression of who we are brings deliverance from trouble.  Who we are and our expression of who we are brings all that we need into our presence.  This is interaction with our Father who loves us so greatly. He has made us righteous so that He could bless us.  Do not accept the false substitute of the world, it will destroy you, whereas God will establish you.
