Devotions:

“And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? Therefore the Lord heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭78:18-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our actions dictate the degree that we believe in God's salvation, God's love for us.  Jesus, as a man, was totally persuaded to the Father's love for Him and was totally dependent upon the Father's love, even to the point of taking our sins upon Himself and being separated from the Father for our sake.  He knew that the Father would raise Him from the dead and continously told His disciples that.  The horror that He went through for us, He knew that there would be an end to it and a victory over it for us.

Israel on the other hand repeatedly saw the miracles that God did on their behalf and yet refused to believe in God's love for them. They did not allow themselves to be transformed by the miracles.  This is one reason that God does miracles, to cause to grow from glory to glory.  We see His glory in the miracle and it transforms us to a higher state of glory.  Even though the children of Israel were not born again, the miracles could have transformed them into a closer walk with God.

We hunger for that transforming revelation of God's glory so that we can walk at a higher level of God's glory with Him.  Look for miracles and when you see one take time to stop and contemplate, reflect on the revelation of God's love that is bound up in that miracle.

The more we walk in His glory, the more we take it to the world so they can be transformed and receive the savior who loves them.  Do not let God's glory pass you by.
