Long Life
Devotions:
“Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”
Psalms 91:9, 14, 16 KJV
We never know how long or how short our lives will be. God promises us long lives but we must have faith for long life and we must fight the good fight of faith. Along with learning to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit within you. He will lead you around situations that could destroy you.
Here is Psalm 91 the psalmist says that as we set our love on our God that He will protect us and guide us. As Christians even if death takes us early we still win. To be absent from the body, that is dead, is to be present with the Lord. We have a job to fulfill on the earth but sometime we are taken out early by the enemy and yet we still receive our reward. Our goal is to finish our race here and when we are through we will graduate to heaven to ever be with the Lord. God's provision is that we live sickness and disease free and free from calamities. This is the heritage of those who love the Lord. Are we living for the Lord or for whatever temporal pleasures here?Zion.
