Seated With Christ

Devotion:
Another place that Jesus is seen is seated at the right hand of the Father.
“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1:19-23 KJV
We are in Christ then seated at the right hand of the Father. To be seated Christ Jesus had to have finished His work, the work of redemption. So our salvation is a finished work in the mind of the Father. We cannot augment it or add to it in any way, it is complete. We are seated in Christ Jesus when we were born again. We were seated then means that our salvation is complete and our place in God is a place of rest. If we are anxious about our salvation that means we do not see the work of Christ as a finished work. When we see it as finished then we will enter into His rest, knowing that the outcome is secure in Him.
Secondly Jesus was seated at the right hand of the Father. This means that He is seated in the place of authority and power. Here in Ephesians Paul says, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named not only in this world but also in the one to come. And in case we had any doubt, God has put all things under His feet. We, in Christ then have this posistion of being over all principality, and power, and might and dominion and every name that is named. No curse can touch us! No demon can oppress us or destroy us. All things are under our feet, that is ALL things. Our spiritual warfare is from a place of victory, not trying to win the battle but VICTORY!
When we know this and act on it the demons shudder and flee in stark terror. But we do not have authority over human spirits but just the demons that seek to control them. Take your authority and stand firm.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 KJV
