The Love of God

Devotions:
God's love is so great that we cannot even imagine how great it is. When Moses asked to see the glory of God, God referred to His goodness. God told Moses that he could not look at the fullness of God's goodness and live. God allowed him to see the hinder, fading part of His goodness. Our understanding of the fulness of God's goodness is seen in Jesus Christ.
“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” John 1:16-18 KJV
God's goodness prevades the universe that He created. Satan, the evil one, is trying to convince us that he is in control. All the evil, cruelty, pain and heartache is due to Satan and tries to convince us that it is a part of our Father's plan for us.
“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalms 23:3-4 KJV
The valley of the shadow of death is the condition that Satan created when Adam turned the rulership of the earth over to him. Our God guides us through this life to avoid the snares of Satan and to walk in God's goodness. God is love but we have yet to realize how great is that love towards us. God in HIs great love has provided all that we need for life and godliness. It takes faith to walk in the abundance of God's goodness but He has provided that faith through His word that tells us of His love. That love is spelled Jesus. Jesus voluntarily took all of the Father's displeasure when He took all or our sins. Determine to walk in the fullness of the love of the Father.
