Living on Purpose

Devotions:

We are to live our lives on purpose.  Too often we live not planning on dying rather than planning on not dying.  the first is passive and the second is active. Faith is active not passive.  We become sick waiting on God to heal us rather than taking hold of God has healed us in Christ Jesus and actively living like it is true.  We are not planning on be poor instead of planning on not being poor.  Poverty is a part of the curse of the law and we have been redeemed from the curse of the law.

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE "- in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:13-14. ‭NASB‬‬

To live on purpose is to live by faith in what God has said.  Faith is action, acting on God's word. Faith is actively expecting the blessing of Abraham and not waiting for it to fall on you but actively taking hold of the blessing and actively rejecting the curse.  It is not planning on being cursed but actively planning on being blessed.  It is I am not planning on getting sick vs I am planning on not getting sick because Jesus bore my sickness and carried our diseases.  Matthew 8:17.  Are you living on purpose or are you just floating down life's stream hoping nothing bad happens to you?
