Declare His Glory
September 16, 2016
Devotions:
“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people." Psalms 96:1-3 KJV
You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink.....but you can salt his oats!
When you freely proclaim the great things the God has done in your life you create hunger in those who hear it. Humans have a hunger to experience the supernatural. We serve a supernatural God and as we spend time in His presence He does supernatural blessings in our lives. We do not want to force our testimony on people but when people ask, "How are you?" Then we can say, "Let me tell you what God has done in my life!" And give your testimony.
This is enhanced as we take time to meditate on the word of God until it becomes a part of our lives. We read in Romans 14: 17 that the kingdom of God is not meat and drink but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Luke 17:21 KJV
So within me is righteousness, peace and joy. As I meditate on this the righteousness, peace and joy become more and more real in me and begins to dominate my thinking. Peace being wholeness, nothing lacking, nothing broken in my life. And as I then proclaim to the world the righteousness, peace and joy that I experienced they sit up and take notice because they do not have any of these thing.
We are then declaring His glory among the heathen and His wonders among the people.
