Life of Power

Devotions:

“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      The kingdom of God is within you in power.  But this power will not manifest by itself, we must believe in it's presence within us and look to it's manifestation.  The power is to overcome sin, sickness and disease, poverty, depression, oppression...in our lives.  The power of God is within us to fulfill what God has said about us.  We are to make it a habit to walk in this power daily. This happens as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit who is in us.  We do not wait for the power to manifest instead we believe what is written and act boldly like it is true.  God has already moved in Christ Jesus and His death, burial and resurrection.  The next move is ours.  We must move in faith based on what is revealed in the word of God.  Our boldness comes from the confidence that the word of God is true and God will not lie.  He is no respecter of persons what He has done for others, He will do for us. Faith is acting on the word of God.  The word of God is God's will. 

      The second area is demonstrating God's power to a hurting and dying world as a manifestation of His love. Paul was talking about ministering is signs and wonders and miracles so that the people's faith would not rest on mere words of men but on the demonstration of spirit and power.

    We are to live the kingdom in our own lives looking to the greater one within us and we are to demonstrate the kingdom to the unbelievers in order that they might get saved. 

      Recognize God and His power within you and cultivate your relationship with Him.
