The Never Ending Kingdom

Devotions:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“"I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. "And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NASB‬‬

These two prophecies talk of a kingdom that was to come.  We know that this kingdom came with Jesus and was established with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and His seating at the right hand of the Father in power and glory. We were seated with Him and operate in His authority on this earth.  We are a part of that kingdom.  In Isaiah it says that of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end.  No matter how hard the enemy tries to convince us that we are in a post Christian Era that does not exist.  The darkness cannot overcome the light no matter how hard it tries.  Daniel calls it an everlasting dominion which will not pass away and will not be destroyed.  This is the kingdom of which we are a part.  Sin cannot overcome it! Sinful, ungodly people cannot destroy it. We already stand on the side of victory. We belong to the kingdom of the King of King and Lord of Lords.  There is no counsel that can stand against Him.  He is our victory.  Never give up! When discouraged, look up to Him. He is the one to fight our battles.  Hear His voice and act on what He says and you will see the victory.
