Christian Walk, Impossible, But Easy

January 21, 2017

Devotions:

Living the life as a Christian is easy, you only have to give up on trying.  All the efforts of human to reach the kingdom of heaven or to live the Christian life end in futility. Even is one is rich and can afford to spend the time, effort and resources to live the Christian life on your own you will only get frustrated.

“When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” ‭Matthew‬ ‭19:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The disciples marveled that the rich no chance to get into heaven on his lifestyle.  Jesus went on to say that it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to be saved, through his own efforts and wealth. But with God all things are possible,

“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭51:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When David was exposed in his sin against Bathsheba and her husband Uriah the Hittite, declared that God desired truth in the inward parts.  That is God is looking not for someone  who is perfect but some one who is honest and admits his failure, looking for the strength of the Lord to sustain Him. The more we put down our pride and recognize our total dependency on Him, the more His power is manifested in our weaknesses and our walk becomes effortless. When we struggle against sin and try to fight it in our own strength the more we will fail.  In all things, look to the greater one in you and He will cause you to prevail.
