Walking Like Jesus
January 24, 2017
Devotions:
Jesus acted fearlessly in the face of storms. He was undaunted by sickness and disease. He had not fear to command a lame limb to be made whole or a twisted limb to be made straight. He had no fear of any demons or other embassary of the enemy. He was as master while He was on the earth and He was acting solely as the Son of Man. How could He act this way and see the perfect results? Because He had perfect access to the Father. He said that He and the Father were one. Jesus acted and moved because He knew that the Father was with Him, He only said what He heard the Father say. He only did what He saw the Father do. This is our example. First of all as we abide in His word that tells us that we are His righteousness.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV
When we know our righteousness then we will also. Act on our unhindered access to the Father. An access that is based on a relationship of favor with our Father. Through Jesus we have total favor with our Father.
We also must then walked as Jesus walked in only doing what we see our Father doing. We must discipline ourselves to. Only say what we hear our Father say. Then we will know that it is not I that do the work but the Father who dwells within me. I become aware of God inside of me.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 KJV
Then we will walk like Jesus walked!
