Redeemed

Devotions:

“But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:19-23‬ ‭KJV‬

Our salvation was through the precious blood of Jesus, the perfect sacrifice.  God's plan from the foundation of the world was our redemption through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Our total hope of salvation is in God and not in our own works.  As we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us we purify our soul. That means that we need attentive ears to hear the leading of the Holy Spirit over the noise of the world, the noise of our own flesh and mind.  We have to spend time cultivating our ability to hear the leading of the Spirit.  The leading of the Spirit will always be a manifestation of Love for God and love for our brothers even when they fall.  Our pure heart comes from the presence of God. Our love comes from the presence of God. As we learn to listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit we develope in our relationship with our Father.  God has placed the seed of His word, His life and nature within us and that seed can never change, it abides forever.  So even when you miss it you still have the perfect, incorruptible, ever abiding seed of the word of God in you which is your new nature.  You have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus.
