God's Love

Devotions:

To understand the greatness of the love of the Father, we need to contemplate the horrors of the cross. No one has ever gotten close to portraying half of the torture that Jesus endured for us. Almost all of do not understand how totally offensive we were to the Father God. This is especially true for those of us who seemed to be somewhat moral and nice without Christ. Even if we were living an exemplary moral live, when compared to God's perfection we were the blackest black. All of our efforts at living righteous on our own were seen as filthy, menstruous rags, totally repulsive to the Father God.

So many times we think that we really were not that bad. We think that we just needed a little help to complete our standing with God. But in reality we were not even close. Jesus fulfilled everything necessary to make us totally accepted to the Father. We are totally accepted based on Jesus' righteousness and on none of our own. He is our acceptance to the Father. He is our holiness. He is our redemption.

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:30‬ ‭KJV‬
