Righteousness

Devotions:

        “In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.” ‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        The way of righteousness is life then the way of unrighteousness is death or separation from God.  In the Old Testament they had no experiential righteousness but as they believed God, righteousness was written to their account.  In the New Testament we have actually have been recreated in righteousness and holiness.  Righteousness is then our nature. We still have the choice as to yield to our new nature or yield to the sin that lurks at our door.  We have been given authority over body and soul as to yield to it or to our born again spirit.  Righteousness is the path of peace.

        “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭32:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        When we know our righteousness, we then have a confidence in the love God and our being blessed by Him. When we know our righteousness then we will walk in that righteousness.  Our sin comes from the brokenness cause by sin and our trying to heal ourselves.  It is the love of God that brings healing to our souls and our bodies.
