Spirit and Life

Devotions:

      “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” ‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      Our success does not come from the physical realm but the spiritual realm.  The word of God first of all is not a physical book but a spiritual book full of life and power.  It is words spoken by God and are full of His life and power.  In Genesis 1:1,2 it says that the Spirit of God hovered over the void until God spoke, then the Holy Spirit acted and created what was spoken.  The Spirit is waiting for us to speak the word of God in faith so that He can act. 

        Therefore we need to judge our situations not in the natural, physical realm because the physical realm came out of the spiritual realm.  The spiritual realm comes into being in the natural realm as we speak in faith what we believe.  Satan uses this against us when we speak negative things against ourselves. 

        Paul says in Romans 6 that sin is no longer our master. If we keep claiming it as our master then it will master over us even though it has no legal right to do this. If we will speak to the temptation using the word of God, the sin must obey and leave if we believe.  Our faith comes from spending time meditating on the word of God's grace which tells us everything that is ours in Christ Jesus.  if we do not believe the word when we speak it then it will faith to bring about in our lives what it was designed by God to do.  It becomes and ineffective weapon against the enemy and we go away feeling discouraged and defeated because we did not see the results that was expected. But when we believe the word and speak it out even when the circumstances do not seem to bulge but e are undaunted because we know that God's word in our mouth is spirit or anointing that destroys the yoke and lifts the burden, and life and what we say will come to pass, then we will see results.
