Seek His Glory

Devotions:
“He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.” John 7:18 KJV
When we do our own thing we are seeking our own glory. All the religions of the earth are based on works righteousness in which man is seeking his own glory and not that of God.s. Humans cannot save them selves in any way. When we Christians walk in legalism instead of under grace we are seeking out own glory and not the glory of the Lord. We cannot add to His salvation because, one we are not able to save ourselves, and secondly the work of salvation is a finished work in Christ and we cannot add to it nor take away from it.
When we worship in the flesh or from our soul to try to impress God we are seeking our own glory, and God said that He would share His glory with no one. When we pursue our own plan, no matter how religious or good it seems to be and then ask God to bless it, we are really pursuing our own glory and not God's,
We are to spend time in the Father's presence until we know His plan for us and then pursue the plan that He has, and it will be blessed. As we use the gift of tongues to pray in the spirit each day and sometimes for extended times until we get the interpretation then not only will our spirit be edified but our minds will be edified because we will know the will or God for our lives. Then we just follow His plan and He will make it happen. He gets the glory because His plan for us is always beyond our natural ability.
When we take time to hear, then we will be led. When we are led, we will always succeed because God never fails.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
Romans 8:14 KJV
