Holiness

Devotions:
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV
The word sanctification here is the exact same as holiness. We must understand the corner stone of holiness is that God is good and He is as good as He is only. All of our ambition, discipline, and deeply felt repentence has little effect on our lifestyle as it pertains to holiness. A holy lifestyle comes as a natural result or fruit of delighting in the one who is holy-the one who accepts me as I am, in all of my failures and weaknesses. All of the sweaty efforts do not change anything in my life worth mentioning except to make me prideful and miserable. From Bill Johnson and Heidi Baker, "Hosting His Presence"
Our call is to know Him, John 17:3. We are carriers of His presence by the new birth. His presence could not be with us unless Hehad made us holy. Holiness then is manifested in our life and lifestyle as we choose to delight in Him daily. We fix our eyes on Him, on His incredible love for us, no His indescribable beauty, delighting in Him our souls are transformed and we manifest His holiness.
All our self efforts to make ourselves holy end up in failure and pride and no matter how successful we seem to be, we are unacceptable to the Lord. It is not our holiness that He accepts but His holiness in us. He has accepted us as we are with all of our flaws and sins. As the Psalmist says, "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
