Jesus Came to Give Life

Devotions:

      Sin will never satisfy, it cannot! The human race has bought the lie that sin can satisfy us. It tells us that God cannot satisfy us but we were created to be satisfied by God.

      “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” John‬ ‭5:39-40‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John‬ ‭6:40‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Jesus did not come to give us a bunch of rules but life in Him. We do to lose this life because we sin  and it is because of this life in us that we go to heaven. 

    Jesus said that He had living water that if we drank of it we would never thirst again.  He said that He was the living be read that if we ate of it we would never hunger again.  Jesus came to satisfy our soul's longing for God. It is not about keeping rules but it is all about Jesus.  Our salvation is Jesus, not our efforts but His effort and sacrifice. 

    We say that we hunger and thirst mor more of God but in reality we hunger and thirst for a greater revelation of the God who dwells in us. We have all of God that we can have, we just need a revelation of what we do have and that comes as we spend time with Him and do His word.
