Devotions:

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

‭‭John‬ ‭3:36‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Here Jesus shows us that we act on what we believe.  When we truly believe in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of the world, King of kings and Lord of Lord's we will act accordingly.  if we are walking in disobedience it is because we do not know nor believe the love that God has for us.  We do not believe that we are no longer rejected because of our sins but we are accepted in the beloved not as orphans but as sons and daughters of God, born of Him.  Our sin consciousness tells us that we are at best orphans but most likely just barely tolerated by God and any little thing will push Him over the edge towards us.  But this is polar opposit from the truth.  The Father's assessment of us is not passed on our actions but upon the actions of Jesus, our representative. When we look at ourselves in relation to God we need to look as God looks, through the blood of Jesus.  Through the Blood of Jesus Goid sees Jesus' perfection in us.  But until we see it we will act contrary to who we are.  We give God the greatest glory when we act out of who we are in Christ.  We are on a continual road of discovery and believing the riches of who God has made us in Christ so that we can show forth His glory in the earth.
