Knowing God

Devotions:

“In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭76:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We saw yesterday that Judah means to praise.  The Hebrew is yada which means to raise your hands in worship. It is also a Hebrew word meaning to become intimate. when we raise our hands it is a total surrender.  Our worship is to be a total surrender to the Lord recognizing His as King of kings and Lord of Lord's in our Iife..

Christianity is a relationship with our Creator where we know Him not from a far but up close and personal. He already knows all your faults and weaknesses and He loves you inspite of your failures.  There is no running and hiding from His presence but as we openly welcome and engage His presence he transforms our souls into His mirage.  The more our life is a praise of our God the more presence we will carry with us and the more fruit we will bear.  It is not our efforts but His presence that does the wrok.  Our part is to continually praise Him for the good things that He has done and walk in obedience to the leading of His Spirit.  Even our praise is through the power of His Spirit.  The more we acknowledge our total dependence upon Him, yada, the more we walk in victory accessing the great redemption which Jesus wrought. Our goal is to know God intimately.
