Righteousness

Devotions:

Righteousness means that we are as if we were never touched by sin.  To be righteous is to be able to stand in the presence of God perfect and pure without any sense of shame, guilt, sin, condemnation or inferiority. God is totally perfect and demands total perfection.  He provides us with that perfection in Christ Jesus when He imparted His eternal life into us at the new birth.  When we believe in our righteousness which is by Jesus then will live in a new realm.  We will know that we are the apple of our Father's eye.  We are the central focus on His attention.  We are not to look at our imperfection and focus on that but on our perfection in Jesus.  Based on our perfection in Jesus we have a perfect access to our Father.  When we know that our Father hears us we know that we have what we have asked of Him.  Our righteousness provides a confidence in the presence of sickness and disease, demons, and over all the work of the devil.

We cannot grow in righteousness.  We are as righteous now as we will be in heaven.  We can grow in our understanding of our righteousness.  We will never walk as more than a conqueror until we know our righteousness.  We do not merit this righteousness.  We cannot earn this righteousness,  It is a gift from God which cannot change.

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
