Authority

Devotions:

        When God originally charted mankind, He gave him dominion over all of creation.  Genesis 1:26. In Genesis 3 Adam disobeyed God and turned that authority over to Satan. In the temptations of Jesus in Luke 4, Satan offers Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their glory if Jesus will fall down and worship him, because as he said they have been given to him.  But we find in Matthew 28:18 Jesus says that all power or authority had been give to Him.  Satan no longer has any authority, only what you give him when you choose to believe him over what God has said.  No witch or witch doctor or curse or warlock has any authority over us unless we allow it by believing their lies.  Remember Jesus has all authority, they have none!  Your family may have been afflicted by curses for generations but this was because they did not know the truth.  The truth is that in Jesus, no curse can touch you. As Christans our dominion has been restored in Jesus.  Satan is no longer our lord, Jesus is not our Lord.  How much have you submitted to His Lordship? He is the one with the authority as the risen Son of Man.  We have authority because we are born humans and because we have accepted His Lordship.  Satan gains authority when we believe him over God.  Choose to day, are you going to walk with God in the high places? Or are you going to walk like a fallen man messed around by the enemy of mankind, Satan?
