Joy in the Lord

Devotions:

“How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭36:7-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God's lovingkindness and mercy is not mediocre, it is not average but it is excellent.  There is no lovingkindness and mercy that can compare with it.  It causes men to totally trust in His goodness for provision and protection.  There is none other like it in all of the universe.  He fully satisfies every need and desire of our heart not barely enough or enough to get along but abundantly.  Have you tasted of His abundance?

Some think that God is all work and no fun, stoic, but His desire is that we partake of His pleasures.  Psalm 16:11 says that in His presence is fullness of joy,  not just a little joy but fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forever.  God is not a hard taskmaster but a God who delights in the pleasure of His people.  He is the source of life.  We must continually come to that fountain to drink of that life of His love.  This is His desire that mankind come into the fullness that we were created to experience.  We cannot experience that completeness without walking with our Father. Our all in all, oiur completeness are in Him and Him alone.  Our fulfillment comes in knowing Him intimately.  The more we press in to know Him the more fulfilled with will be.  God has qualified us, so press in on His merits not yours.  Delight yourself in Him continually no matter what the circumstances or how much you have missed it, delight in Him and He will turn your situation around.
