No Sin

Devotions:
“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” John 16:7-11 NASB
Jesus says here that the Helper will convict the world of sin...sin because they do not know Jesus. If they have not received the precious gift of salvation through Jesus then they are still in their sin. We who have received Jesus have had our sins forgiven and our sin nature removed in the new birth. The Holy Spirit who is the Helper, finds no sin in us. When we sin it is our righteous human spirit that convicts us.
“You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;” 1 John 3:5, 19-21 NASB
If we ask, God will show us where we have missed it but when we do wrong it is our hearts that smite us because we are operating contrary to who God has made us. What we do does not dictate who we are but who we are and perceive ourselves to be will dictate what we do.
Many who claim to be Christians are CINO's, that is Christian in name only. They have never been born again. Their heart has never really been transformed by the Holy Spriit. They only subscribed to a "Christian philosophy." If you have been born again then your heart was made new by the new birth. You were given the nature of Christ and you know it.
“Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?”
2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB
