“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
Matthew 27:46 KJV
As Jesus hung on the cross, the sins of the whole world were laid upon Him and the Father could not look upon Him. Jesus cried our My God, My God why have you forsaken me? Jesus was forsaken on the cross in order that we could be accepted and never forsaken. One of the tricks of the enemy is to make us feel all alone and forsaken. But God never leaves us. By the blood of Jesus we are always in His presence. We are to walk by faith and not by our feelings, that is the only way to win against the devil, he is already defeated. Even in a crowd any times people feel alone, that is when we need to turn our hearts towards God and act as if He is with us because He is. We lift up our voice and start singing His praises and offer the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, He is with us always. When we choose to act in faith and not give up we will receive a rich reward. Anyone can praise the Lord when things seem to be good and going right, when you feel the warm embrace of His presence, but when you feel all alone and forsaken but you choose to believe and act like is right here with you that you discover that in reality, He is right here with you all the time. Jesus was forsaken by the Father that we would never be forsaken.
