Our Inheritance

““I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭2:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is a prophecy referring first of all to Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God and He was the first one born from the dead. When we receive what He has done for us in His death, burial and resurrection we are also born again from the dead as sons of the Most High God.  As He, Jesus, is so are we in this world.  We qualify for the inheritance, God qualified us.  We then can ask with confidence for the nations of the earth for our inheritance.  This means that we are asking for their salvation.  Our inheritance are the souls of men and women that we have had influence over that brought them to receive salvation.  We will rejoice with them forever in heaven. Jesus said to go make disciples of all nations. This starts by asking in faith for the nations and the ends of the earth. God has placed us here to be an influence to persuade men and women of God's love for them so that they will receive His salvation for them.  We have not because we ask not. As you meditate on this verse until you become confident that it includes you, you will come to the place that you ask with confidence from the Father and expect the answer. Ask and you shall receive.
