Grace Teaches Us

      “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      God's amazing grace teaches us. It does not give us a license to sin but teaches us that ungodliness and worldly lust were created by Satan to destroy us. God gave Israel the law to show them the path of life except they could not do it because of the weakness of their flesh. Jesus comes along and perfectly does what we could not do, keeps the law, then gives that perfect record to us and gives new life so that we can walk in that perfection. Jesus is the way of righteousness to the Father. God's grace then, empowers us to live soberly, righteously and godly which is profitable on our part. Sin is detrimental, but Jesus set us free from sin. Our going to heaven is determined only by what Jesus did. Our victory here comes from the forgiveness in Jesus and the empowering of the Holy Spirit within us.
