Are You Hungry or Are You Full

Devotions:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we think that we have all to the knowledge of God that we need we never will be in the posistion to received more of what God has for us.  The road to the kingdom is the rode of humility.  We are not super Christians, we just have a super God.  When we were born again we received God into our spirits.  There is always greater understanding of God and what He has in store for us. The rule of the kingdom is the more we humbly use what we have been given, more will be given to us.  When we are satisfied with what we have we will posses not hunger for more of God.

“For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

‭‭John‬ ‭7:36-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The rulers of the Jews had no hunger for God. They were satisfied with their system of religion.  This is seen in that they did not come to Jesus to receive but to criticize and try to destroy.  We can be the same way today, when we do not hunger for God and His way we will seek to lift ourselves up by putting others down.  God's way is the path of humbleness.  He will take care of the others.  As we draw close to God through our humility and hunger His anointing will draw those around us or repell them depending on whether or not they are hungry.

“Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
