Carrying the Glory

January 19, 2018

Devotions:

Jesus came to glorify the Father, to show forth the goodness of the Father in a fallen world.  Our task is to do the same thing, show forth the goodness of the Father to a hurting and dying world.  God's desire is that all experience His love.  But not all will accept His love.

God said in Isaiah that He will not share His glory with another.  He said in 1 Corinthians 1 that no flesh would glory in His presence.  Our sharing His glory then is first of all His glory not ours and it is by His doing, not ours.  Our place is simply to respond to His goodness and love and tell others about it.

Paul tells in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That is when Adam sinned, he rejected the presence of God in his life.  We were made to carry and manifest the presence of God.  That is what Jesus did as the model man. That is what our task is, to carry and show forth the glory of God, by God's power not our own strength.

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope o glory:”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus came to restore the glory of God to mankind that we might walk as son's of God.
