“I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.”
Psalms 57:2 KJV
David understood the principle of salvation. It is not what we do for God, it is that God has already done everything that we need for our salvation, here in this life and when we get to heaven. This is the rest that the saints are to dwell in. Does this mean we are to be totally passive? No, but our activity is not to attain to salvation but to operate out of our complete salvation. We will operate according to what we believe. So when we know that we are totallly accepted by the Lord by the work of Christ then we are not trying to earn that posistion but are operating out of that place. Our works and walk of righteousness is because we are saved not to get saved. It is because we have the life of Christ within us which gives us posistion before the Father and the empowerment to live out God's life before Him. The key is that we must believe that He has already accomplished everything for me and praise Him for it even before we experience it.
