Love: The End of The Matter

 January 31, 2018

Devotions:

The measure of our spirituality is measured by our love to the unloveable.  Anyone can love those that love you but someone who is repulsive it takes the love of God ahed abroad in our hearts to love.  When people disagree politically or theologically it is easy to get into unforgiveness and to walk in that unforgiveness.  When persons personally attack us it is easy to get out of love and take offense. Many carry offense for years and sometimes for all their lives.  it will ruin your life, it is the door of Satan to come into your life and destroy you.

“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” ‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NASB‬‬

The end of our doctrine must be love.  If it does not cause us to have a greater understanding of the love of God and thus that love creating in us love for our fellow believers and the rest of mankind then the doctrine is not true.  It is not how much we know about God but how much we know God that counts. The more we know God, the more we will know about God and the more of His love we will walk in.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:7-8‬ ‭NASB‬‬
